Oade Ferme de Bacoge
"The Balance"
Description: Ferme de Bacoge was built in the 17th century, in the heart of the Landes. In addition to its beautiful vineyards, the farm also holds a bustling duck farm on property. Made from 100% Baco grapes, each Armagnac is aged in a single new oak barrel for its entire life at one of the farm’s 400-year-old Cellars. Since 1983, Christian Bergerot, the second-generation owner, has worked the property and over time, he was able to purchase land from the former owner, André Labarbe. Starting in 1987, both he and André Labarbe distilled and barreled separate Armagnac from their respective portion of the land on property. This barrel is only the second barrel filled with Bergerot’s own Armagnac and represents a time capsule when two generations worked together at Ferme de Bacoge.
