Description: For generations, the Lalanne family has worked their land in the heart of Bas Armagnac. The grandfather of the family, Joseph built the family home, which still stands today. In 1935, at the age of 15, his son, Camille, took to the fields after his passing and planted the first vines on the land where he worked until 2010. In 2009, Patricia, his daughter, returned to Domain du Cardinat to work alongside Camille. Since his death in 2010, Patricia and her husband Malkeet continue the family tradition of the highest quality Armagnac.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Dark cherry, ripe plum, leather, and antique wood furniture.
Palate: Sticky toffee pudding and pruneau with old wood and leather. The taste brings us back to the cellar at Domaine du Cardinat. The palate is bold and packed with layers of flavor that evolve over time if you leave it in the glass.
Finish: Long-lasting brown butter and orange oil wrapped in a refined oak darkness. The proof holds up and makes this one linger on the palate.
