Description: In early 2024, Vik & Tom escaped the Midwestern winter to be the very first to experience the outcome of OADE’s many travels through Gascony. They spent an entire day tasting samples from a dozen Armagnac houses. Each sample had already been meticulously pre-selected by OADE during their exploration of over 60 producers. Vik & Tom picked this bold, tart, exotic spice-laden 1994 Marquestau that they are excited to share with friends.
Tasting Notes: Nose: Deep brown sugar, nutmeg, red plums, and toasty oak. Hallmark aromas of well-aged Armagnac that spent its entire life in a single new toasted oak cask
Palate: Dark toffee, brown sugar, toasted hazelnuts, and bold but balanced oak.
Finish: Mouth-coating Toffee, savory baking spice, and the rich oak sweetness.
